My personal chubby donut is antique 18K gold - it doesn’t leave my hand except to sleep! It’s the most comfortable gold band I own, but also the heaviest. It’s by far one of the pieces I get asked to source most often. But sourcing a ring like this in your exact size is as elusive as looking for a needle in a haystack!

Rather than spend decades looking for the perfect thick gold ring, we painstakingly designed a big custom donut band like mine, that you can order to your exact specifications and start living in it, rather than waiting a lifetime for it.

We started talking about what the perfect proportions would be for this kind of heavy band, what’s hard to find, and what would be the ultimate dream gold ring to make for each person. There are donuts out there, but what’s the most elusive and would make the most people swoon?

 

The Chubby Butter Donut Band

We came up with what we consider to be the gold standard of donut bands that make a statement solo or stacked with other rings:  6.8mm wide, tall and round, and totally SOLID. For reference, it weighs in at 15 grams in 18K at size 6.5. HEAVY.

When I wear mine–which I wear every day on my ring finger–it makes me feel powerful while also feeling like a hug at the same time. MAGIC.

We want to be clear: these aren’t just any old donuts! As a jewelry collector myself, I wanted each person who ordered a Chubby Butter Donut to feel like I did when I got mine–that it was absolutely perfect for me!

We perfected:

• A comfort fit to ensure that you can still make a comfortable fist
• Comes in quarter and half ring sizes for a perfect fit (we recommend sizing up ¼ of a ring size or ½ if you like a looser fit)

• Available in your choice of totally solid 14, 18, 22 or 24 karat gold!!

 

The Mega Chonky Donut Band

But what if you wanted a chubby gold ring that was even bigger?! What’s the “end all be all” of chubbiness + comfort? All hail the MEGA Chonky Donut Band!

My 12-year-old is super proud about naming this one! At 9 mm wide, it’s super tall and SOLID, therefore: Mega Chonky! It’s not for the faint of heart because it's enormous! A little less stackable but who cares?! It’s a 1 and done. Because of the mega size, this ring should be sized up half (½) a size to fit comfortably.

 

Customizable Options

Both of these custom gold band designs are SOLID GOLD. No cut corners. This is meant to be a go wherever, do whatever, FOREVER band. One you don’t need to search decades for in your size, because we make it for you!

Both of our Gold Donut Bands are available in 14K, 18K or 22K yellow gold. We also offer 14K and 18K white gold, and rose gold in all karats except 24K. You can choose from our standard classic polished finish or a more unique brushed finish.

Keep in mind that 24K is the softest and will show more wear more quickly. 22K and below are more resistant to wear.
