An absolute masterpiece of a pendant that is a gorgeous as it is fun to look at, a yellow 18K gold Peacock reverse painted Essex crystal pendant crowned with a .7 ctw diamond crescent and diamond bale The scene of the peacock standing in a field was hand carved then hand painted meticulously with an incredible range of detail, depth, and color to create the image. It would have taken days or weeks to complete this piece to this level of detail.
It is a particularly large crystal in excellent condition with no noticeable color bleed or color loss, and no scratching on top of the crystal. We believe the crystal is likely antique and was lovingly reset in the 18K bezel and round cut diamond (GH color, VS/SI clarity) crescent as a vintage statement piece. Hallmarked 750 on back, along with a ‘7’, and a worn maker’s mark. Weighs 20.1 grams. Measures 1 5/8 inch long with bale x 1 3/8 inch across. In excellent preowned condition.
