From Naz’s Design Desk: Plot Twist
Designing the Plot Twist Collection felt like giving my inner child room to play. Because isn’t it true that we are so many versions of ourselves living simultaneously? I’m constantly bouncing between a sense of childlike wonder...that untethered belief in what’s possible...and the more rational awareness I have as an adult designer, collector, and business owner.
The adult in me can’t help but consider the practical things: How does this piece layer with what I (and others) already wear? Where will it live in someone’s everyday wardrobe? What does it cost? How well is it made? Have I seen anything like it?
But the childlike side of me is guided by something entirely different: how a design makes me feel, the references that spark joy, and the unexpected combinations I haven’t seen woven together before that make me want to reinterpret them in a fresh way to spark a new sort of joy for someone else.
Ultimately, both sides of me are aiming for the same thing: old-meets-new designs that feel meaningful, elevated, and deeply special. Pieces that become part of your personal jewelry collection and part of your personal story.
