About Blank Slate Signet Rings
Like a lot of antique and vintage gold jewelry collectors, Naz is obsessed with signets. In her mind there is no upper limit to what a signet ring can express, starting as a blank slate. We add meaning with time and wear, and/or by engraving its face, and/or by honoring an old worn vintage or antique engraving that had a life before us.
Naz collects signet rings and saves meaningful words, symbols and phrases for engravings. A few, like eternal love through death symbolized by a snake, evolved into sketches she wanted hand engraved on a signet. They couldn’t just go on any signet ring — the size and shape of the face, the heft of the ring, a comfortable fit against the finger, etc — all had to be right. It took months to find the perfect vintage and antique rings to repurpose as a blank slate. Once found, the repurposed hand engraved signet rings were sold, but Naz noted her tweaks to the designs she would create someday — and here we are.

All faces thick enough for future hand engraving or stone setting. All totally solid and sit flush against the finger for ultimate comfort

Large Oval Blank Slate Signet: Face measures 17.5 x 14.5 mm. In size 5.75, weighs over 8 grams in 14K, over 9 grams in 18K, and over 11 grams in 22K. **note, weight will scale somewhat with ring size.
Stretched Oval Blank Slate Signet: Face measures 12.6 x 9.8 mm. In size 3.75, weighs over 5 grams in 14K, over 6 grams in 18K, and over 7 grams in 22K. **note, weight will scale somewhat with ring size.
Hexagon Blank Slate Signet: Face measures 8.5 x 12.9 mm. In size 5.75, weighs ~4 grams in 14K, ~5 grams in 18K, and over 5 grams in 22K. **note, weight will scale somewhat with ring size.
