Antique 21K gold and silver topped over 7ctw Old Mine Cut diamond, rose cut diamond and pearl fringe chain, 16 and 7/8 inch

This is a really beautiful Antique 21K gold and silver topped over 7ctw Old Mine Cut diamond and rose cut diamond fringe collar chain, 16 and 7/8 inch. 

This incredible antique collar necklace dating from the late 1800s has a worn hallmark with the three crowns for Swedish gold (mark for pieces that are 18K and higher) on the clasp. It is 21K gold and silver topped.

The drop in the center including the pearl is 26 mm long. The widest part of the fringe is 14 mm long and it’s slightly tapers down to 10 mm at the ends. The fringe makes up 9 1/8 inch of the total length. It has over 7 carats of old mine cut diamonds set in the square links and in between those it’s set with rose cut diamonds. All of the stones appear to be original and they are well matched. Under magnification, there are a few small chips on a few of the mine cut diamonds, but the clarity overall is very high. I would call a lot of of them VS2 and others SI clarity (no carbon). All of the trefoil and shield link details are intact, no damage. It’s truly exceptional. Whoever had this took amazing care of it.

Full transparency, I haven’t cleaned it and with a light cleaning (to keep the patina on the silver of course) the diamonds would sparkle even more but they are really sparkly as is and really capture the antique character as they were all cut by hand.

No damage or noticeable wear beyond normal antique condition and patina.
