A simply delightful and beautifully made Antique 18K snake with rose cut diamonds and ruby charm with evidence of originally being a stickpin. The details of this charm are so lovely — the snake head is encrusted with approx .08 ctw of sparkling rose cut diamonds, including in the eyes, and the snake is wrapped around a very vibrant and clear large natural red bezel set pear cut ruby measuring 5.7 x 4.3 x 2.5 mm, approx .4 ctw. Ruby setting is open backed.
We found this charm with a tiny bale too small for a chain, and our bench jeweler replaced it with a large yellow 18K bale with an opening over 6 mm wide. This charm measures 23.1 mm long x 8.9 mm widest. Hallmarked. Bale with large 8mm opening. Weighs 2.1 grams. In very good preowned antique condition.
