Absolutely gorgeous Edwardian era antique yellow 14K unheated approx 1.05ctw royal blue sapphire and approx .38ctw diamond halo ring, size 7.25 and sizable. Unheated royal blue natural sapphires are special as this particular color is scarce and as being untreated, this is how it came out of the earth, before cutting and polishing of course. Comes with a GIA origin and treatment report distinguishing it as royal blue natural sapphire of Cambodia origin and good transparency. Sapphire measures 7.15 x 5.05 x 3.45mm. It is surrounded by 16 near colorless diamonds, mostly antique old mine cut and other older cut round diamonds with average VS2/SI clarity.
The style of this ring with the sapphire and diamond halo is more unusual for the Edwardian period, 1901-1910, and the profile is lower profile than Victorian examples which makes it really wearable. Face measures 11.9 x 9.22 mm wide. This ring had a shank replacement at some point which was done very well and the band is continuous with the design of the cluster head of the ring. It is easily sized up or down.
Hallmarked 14K in very good preowned condition with very minor wear on the sapphire under 10X magnification. Weighs 2.4 grams.
