Gorgeous details and beautiful metalwork displayed in this mid to late 1800s Antique yellow 18K gold and silver ring with lacy details and approx .48ctw diamond and .42 ctw sapphire, size 7. Sizable. The shoulder floral and swag details are intact and the silver is reminiscent of open lace and bows. Just darling and love the elegant finger coverage.
All stones appear original and most are bezel set. Two tiny rose cuts are missing, reflected in price, but I would leave the ring as is so as not to impact condition or patina. Silver is heavily patinaed due to age but could be brightened via cleaning if desired. Natural sapphire is a rich blue with a few small surface chips and beautiful sparkle, measuring 4.5 x 3.8 mm, so approximately .42 ctw. Ring measures 25.4mm wide. Weighs over 4.3 grams.
In good preowned condition, some wear to metal and settings in line with age. Small chips on sapphire as noted. Various stamps on outside of the band are very small and difficult to read, will not be impacted by sizing. Does not appear this ring has ever been sized.
