Antique yellow 18K tubogas malachite drop necklace, 16 and 1/8 inch makes a bold statement but has so much ease in wear and is very comfortable as the tubogas flexes. Center drop is 2 and 3/8 inch long, and side drops are 2 inch. Center malachite teardrop was carefully repaired in the past and the thin break is hardly noticeable as its concealed by the striping. Otherwise the malachite pieces are in excellent antique condition and all are set firmly in their settings.
Tubogas is solid 18K tested. The drops test a combination of 18K and higher than 14K in different areas, likely due to a bloomed finish in some areas (wear to the bloom is most noticeable on the small middle gold teardrops). Tubogas is 4.6mm wide and fully round. Clasp is secure. A bit of irregularity in the gold around the receiving end of the clasp is presumed intentional to accommodate the clasp button. Weighs over 44.2 grams.
There’s quite a bit of patina in the grooves of the tubogas which we can clean before shipping for consistent color throughout if preferred.
